The first date was at Rikki's favorite Mexican food place, Espo's, in Chandler, Arizona. That meal changed our lives, we just didn't know it at the time!

Tim put in so much thought and effort to the proposal. First, he booked a weekend away in Payson and gave the jeweler his deadline for when to have the ring ready. Next, Tim called both of Rikki's parents to let them in on the "secret". Robin was very sneaky, and made sure Rikki had her nails polished! Tim and Rikki drove up to Payson on Friday afternoon, checked into the hotel, and Tim decided to take a drive to the Rim Road to take pictures of the snow on the Rim. Well... The Rim Road was closed. Tim was quick to come up with an alternative plan. There was a beautiful, quiet spot that had a perfect view of the Rim and Tim proposed. Of course, Rikki said yes, and here we are!

Tim had such an eye for detail when he designed the ring! Tim and Rikki looked at hundreds of designs before they came to the conclusion that a custom ring would work the best for Rikki's oddly shaped finger. Tim created a beautiful design that incorporated diamonds from his grandmother's ring and elements from other timeless rings. Since Tim and Rikki met in August, Tim felt that putting 8 diamonds into the band added a unique sentimental touch. The sweetest memento lays on the inside of the band, an Amethyst. The Amethyst is Tim's birthstone and he wanted to make it more one of a kind for Rikki.

We view our ceremony as just the beginning of the rest of our lives together! We decided we wanted to to spend as much time as we could celebrating our newly wedded bliss. We want to celebrate with all the people we love and care about! We are choosing to have a private ceremony and a separate celebration in order to spend the most time with everyone that we hold dear without trying to keep to a schedule and miss any core memories. We are overjoyed with the amount of love we have received, and cannot wait to bring everyone together and make a toast to this once in a lifetime celebration!
