Albany International is one of our favorite airports to travel through. They offer multiple rental car, taxi, and bussing services. Though you may not find a direct flight from LAX, Albany International is the perfect size to host multiple food options and amenities without the large crowds at security or traffic getting to and from the airport. Albany International is a beautiful hour and half drive from Poughkeepsie.

For the brave and navigationally savvy traveler, JFK, Newark, and LaGuardia are great options for those who want to explore New York City at any point during their visit to New York! These airports offer the most flexible flight options by far but come with the additional task of navigating upstate out of the city. You can find your way to Poughkeepsie via planes, trains, and automobiles (literally), there's no wrong way! When flying out of JFK we usually take either the Metro-North or Amtrak.
