Both Tim and Mary Grace walked into Room 116 at Gardendale First Baptist Church in search for a biblical community. Through the class they not only grew closer to God but grew to be friends. One day the topic of birthdays came up and they realized both of them were born on September 19th! They ended up spending their 2024 birthday together.

Both Tim and Mary Grace slowly developed crushes on each other towards Christmastime. What they didn't know was each of them has both gone to their Sunday School Leader, Amanda, to speak about how much they liked the other. After the new year, Tim and Mary Grace began to spend more time together. One Monday Tim called Mary Grace three times over the course of the day. They had spent time together all weekend and had plans for the following weekend as well. Tim hinted several times at the prospect of the two dating, but would not ask outright. Finally, Mary Grace said "Tim, if you want to date, just say so!" Both of them laughed and decided they wanted to give it a try.

Over the next several months, Tim and Mary Grace spent more time together. Both attended their Sunday School class, spent time in biblical community, and served GFBC driving buses, singing in choir, and performing at the Easter service. They grew fonder of each other. Tim loved to cook meals, and Mary Grace loved to eat them. Mary Grace loved to make sweets, and Tim loved to eat them. Soon they realized that their hearts were one of the same and decided to be together forevermore.
