It's all in God's timing... Tim and I met August 24, 2013, at Will and Caroline's wedding, but that wasn't when He wanted our adventure to begin. Fast forward 6.5 years and our best friend, Caroline, is talking us up big to one another. Telling us how perfect we were for each other, only to have me point out there was TWO THOUSAND miles between us. But, on May 19, 2020, all it took was for me to post a Instagram Happy Birthday story to our favorite blonde-headed, twin boys, Jimmy and Tommy. The spark ignited, and the rest is history!

It was Memorial Day weekend, and I was in Wilmington with my family. My sister, Sarah, was nannying Evan for the weekend. She convinced me that Evan wanted to go to Airlie Gardens in the morning before we went to the beach, and I agreed. She also told me that Evan's mom wanted pictures and to dress well enough to not be embarrassed. I contested, "I don't want to be in any pictures," but Sarah insisted that Evan wouldn't want to be in pictures alone. Begrudgingly, I threw on a tank top and shorts; and, luckily, brushed my hair. When we arrived at Airlie Gardens it was HOT! We walked around a bit, admired the flowers and took a few pictures. As I was taking a picture of my sister and Evan, I saw someone out of the corner of my eye coming into my personal space. I was about to get annoyed when I received the shock of a lifetime - Tim was there. I was completely shook. He was supposed to be in Fallon, Nevada, for work as I had talked to him the night before and that was what he told me. Well he lied. He, my sister and best friends had been scheming and pulled off the surprise of a lifetime as he then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I couldn't say YES any faster! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Raleigh!
