When Colorado-based Tim was visiting family in Wisconsin in 1999-ish, he was introduced to Lisa by one of his cousins, who she was dating. They and their partners from that alternate universe even went on a week-long vacation to Florida together. They saw each other under those circumstances a handful of times over the next few years. In 2014, Lisa's compass pointed to Colorado and she reached out on a whim to that acquaintance from so long ago, Tim, in the hope that he was still in the Denver-metro area and could offer some re-location advice. Having just had knee surgery, Tim offered to meet-up in a couple months. That penciled-in appointment fell off both of their calendars. A short 6 years later, Tim remembered the earlier outreach and replied to the dusty thread wondering if catching-up was still of interest to Lisa. February of 2020 our couple wasn't a couple yet, but they did have a wonderful catch-up session that led to some great get-togethers with fun groups of friends. Just when they were starting to get to know each other, um, now, what was that thing that was firing-up in March of 2020 that put an abrupt halt to socializing as we knew it? No need to darken our story by calling it out, but rest assured our budding couple weren't having any more in-person opportunities for a bit. So, they talked. And talked. And talked. Nothing like a pandemic to foster actual conversation! All that talking and deeply getting to know each other turned into down-right, old-fashioned courting (let alone keeping the stir-crazies away). When they finally got to see each other again it was for a wonderful first date in a park which has blossomed into a glorious love that will be celebrated with friends and family.
