Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

The wedding festivities will take place partly in Oyster Bay and Centerport, but we recommend finding accommodations in Huntington, as most of the events will be held there. Under the “Travel” section, you’ll find a good selection of hotels in the area. For anyone traveling internationally, rental homes, like VRBO and Airbnb, also have solid options.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking available at both the ceremony and the reception. However, if you plan to drink, please leave your car at the ceremony, our shuttles will pick you up from there and bring you to the reception. Shuttle service will also be provided after the reception, with transportation available back to the ceremony as well as to the after hours celebration. More information on the shuttle timetable will be shared closer to the date.

Will the reception be inside or outside?

Answer

Both - the cocktail hour takes place on the terrace of the Yacht Club as well as the inside of the club. The reception will take place on the front lawn in a large tent.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

YES! For the Welcome Drinks, the attire is semi-formal. For gentlemen, pants, collared shirts, and jackets are recommended. Shirts must remain tucked in at all times. For ladies, dresses, skirts, or dress pants are required. For our Wedding Celebration, the dress code is formal. For ladies, long dresses are required. For gentlemen, suits with ties are required. Please note that the following are not permitted at the HCC nor the CYC: hats, cargo pants or shorts, t-shirts, tank tops, tube or crop tops, sneakers/trainers, denim jeans, athletic wear, or ripped/shredded clothing.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

NO! We have BIG families and a full house of loved ones, so we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on your invitation. Please do not ask!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Whilst we love kids, no, this is an 18+ wedding.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request? What if I don’t eat meat?

Answer

Yes!!! We want everyone to enjoy the food safely, so please let us know if you have a severe food allergy and/or if you’re pescatarian, vegan, vegetarian, or etc.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We have a wonderful weekend of celebrations planned and would love for you to join us from Friday through Sunday! That said, we completely understand that everyone’s schedules are different, please do not feel obligated to attend every event. Come to as many (or as few) as you can, we’ll be happy either way. Throughout the week, we’ll also have fun games available for guests who’d like to join in the fun. More details to follow as the wedding date approaches.
