My precious little sister and friend for whom I am so grateful for! She has inspired and supported me in so many ways to find love! In fact, it was because of her that I sent the "pray for love" email. Johnelle fell in love with Tim right away and that gave me great confidence! (It is a running playful joke... with Laena you get her sister too). Our inseparable connection for which I can't explain has been building since I held my little sister in my arms. We have so many memories and not enough space. But, I am humbled we both are nurses, love Christian music, and still have so much fun together! I cannot imagine life without my little sister. A tremendous spirit of support she has given in our pursuit of marriage. It is a dream fulfilled to have her by my side on our special day.

My (Tim's) brother has always been an important person in my life. As kids we were bunk bed buddies and the one I played toys with. As my older brother he taught me lessons in life growing up and was a good example/role model for me. Laena & I have enjoyed dates out with Matt's wife and his children over the past two years. I am grateful he will be apart of this special day.

Lifelong (Laena's) dear sister and friend in Christ. One of my favorite people to travel with in our single years! We still laugh about our rental car experience till this day (and it may involve car brakes)! Experienced the Space Needle in Seattle and crossed the Canadian border to help complete her Starbucks mug collection. She has been there to listen, support, and pray for my future spouse. April is a woman of wisdom, loves deep, always thoughtful and still manages to surprise me! Tim & I took our first official trip two winters ago to visit April's family in Texas. Tim passed April's inspection, hehe... of course he did! Her husband also gave big thumbs up to Tim and our relationship as well. Truly grateful April will be by my side on our special day!

My (Laena's) sister-in-law has been a blessing to me (and my brother is pretty blessed)! I am so grateful for our Christ centered connection and the way you have welcomed me into your family celebrations. I love her playful spirit, laugh, and servant heart. She brightens family holidays and brings a fun competitive spirit to family game time! Dana fell in love with Tim's dad, Arnold the first time they met. Thank you for being my un-biological sister and standing by my side on our special day!

My (Laena's) brother-in-law JD has been such a cheerleader in my dating journey with Tim. By giving me dating tips... and early on without even meeting Tim told me "I like this guy" for which I replied, "You haven't even met him yet". JD's response, "No, but I like what I see". JD makes sure we have yummy date night dinners by sharing his love of cooking with us. He truly has been a great support to us in our pursuit of marriage.

My (Laena's) big brother has always been there to support me in all the seasons of my life. He was my playmate as kids and I love how my brother still makes me laugh! My brother will always be my favorite sandbox and snowmobile buddy. Oh, and we must not forget the memories of creating roads with crayons in the basement, playing farm, and Nintendo. As adults I enjoy our conversations about life and our faith journey. Being apart of his growing family over the years filled my cup over and over again. I am so grateful he will be apart of this new season of life called marriage! He has gladly welcomed and embraced Tim into our family and for that I am so grateful.

Terry and his wife Kris have been incredible mentors in the faith and dear friends. I first met Kris in middle school as my youth minister. In college Terry & Kris extended the opportunity to become an administrator for their youth ministry organization, Side By Side Ministries. My 20's and 30's were wonderfully filled with new experiences, opportunities, and built life long friendships through Side By Side.

Our friendship blossomed starting back in the college days! Spent many hours (and naps on the floor) studying with Mary in the Butler Center at St. Kate's. Mary is one of the reasons I was able to push through and pass my nursing boards. I will be forever grateful! She is truly special in the way she cares so well for others. But, don't let her sweetness fool you... she can step in at a moment's notice and tell a guy (who's pestering me) he's not worth my (Laena's) time. haha! Love our memories of traveling as well... and I'm so glad I didn't crash us over the cliff of Lake Tahoe! Mary has been rooting for me to find a great guy and I am so grateful for her care and love in supporting Tim and I on this special day.

A love of youth ministry in our college days sparked and has kept our sweet friendship all these years. So many wonderful memories (not enough space) as we served in Side By Side Ministries together. Perhaps we were kindred spirits (as we both grew up in the same town and attended Delano H.S.) but this would not be discovered until after high school. A heart filled with affection to serve at orphanages in Central America we both shared. Jenna's full of life spirit and servant heart are just a few of my favorite things about her! Thoughtfulness is no stranger and sincerity she wears well. Jenna, thank you for praying and walking by my side all these single years. I look forward to more play time in a corn box! Your enthusiasm as Tim and I start our married life together is a gift from you!

I've known cousin Jenny my whole life, in fact she is just 10 days older than me. So many childhood memories include playing barbies, dress up, staying up way too late playing card games, camping, and we must not forget Jenny's genius idea to play Monopoly over the phone when we couldn't be together on a summer day! (I knew I could trust her even back then :) I love that we can laugh together over some not fun things that life has thrown in our courts. Journeying through life hasn't always been fun in some seasons but the bond that was built as children continues into adulthood. Jenny... finally Ken (Tim) & Barbie (Laena) have met and fallen in love (would love the Barbie Jeep or Corvette to drive away in :) Jenny, thank you for your love and support as Tim and I start our life together.

Our bond started the junior year of college through our mutual love for Christ as we both joined Nurses Christian Fellowship. Our singleness over the years also kept us close and allowed the enjoyment of new experiences! Enjoyed my first cruise experience together, she was my +1 to a dear friend's wedding in Mexico and somehow I had the courage on our vacation in Florida to hold an alligator (OK, it was a baby one, but I am not sure I'd do it again!) As we both prayed for each other's future spouses who knew that our wait would be over just within a few months of each other. Sarah, thank you for your encouragement in the journey of nursing and for always being genuine and holding me up in both prayer and friendship in seasons of life that were hard in the waiting for my spouse!

A candied connection began as we both were in a mutual friend's wedding in our early 20's and it just kept growing! Our annual rituals of the trio gang (April, Laura and I) included golf outings, visiting fall harvest orchards, and celebrating birthdays. Oh, and listening to her talk about the kinds of meat in her freezer; which included her bravery to try whatever her husband hunted... always brought a smile! We've created a few new memories as Tim introduced fall harvest to Laura and her kids. I admire Laura's strong commitment to her faith and in serving the Lord in all seasons. Thank you, for listening, praying, and being a faithful friend all these years. We are thrilled you will share your musical gifts at our ceremony (x2) as Tim and I celebrate the sacrament of marriage!

Our friendship started as children through the journey of being cousins. So many wonderful childhood memories were created with Leah and her family. Halloween parties, camping trips, tubing on the lake, summer/ice fishing, and summer week long adventures with her precious Grandma, Elnora. I might even add I enjoyed our summer trips to the mall to shop for school clothes (not Leah's favorite thing to do, but she was a good sport about it)! Oh, and the introduction to Wendy's Frosty's by Leah's mom, yum! The friendship built as children continues to grow into adulthood. I am grateful for the way Leah has lovingly invited me into her growing family over the years to create more special memories. Thank you for your love and encouragement to jump into marriage with both feet Leah.
