VIEWS VIBES THE JOHNSONS

Like any typical day, I (Tim) was taking a break from work and decided to hop on Instagram, which at this time only had the option to post pictures, no videos or reels, and would stop when you reached the end of the feed. As I was scrolling, I came across this post of Kiana and said, "Hmmm, let me leave a comment and see what happens!" She responded, so I did what any young, eager, and confident man would do: I slid right into her DMs (that's direct messages for my seasoned folks, lol)! We talked for a while, and then she gave me her number, and I gave her mine; she told me to text her the next day! This part is where the story might become tricky as there are "two versions"; however, we have decided to give you a blended version. Feel free to contact me separately for the whole, truthful version! (Per Tim) The next day, Tim sent her a text and a picture of himself so she would know it was him and not some catfish. A week goes by, and Tim has yet to get a response. If this were any other time in life, Tim probably would not reach back out. However, the Lord placed it on his heart to do so, lol! So, he texted Kiana again, and she immediately responded. Kiana's version of the story is that due to her outdated phone at the time, she could not receive picture mail, which was probably why she never received his text. They would talk every day via phone and FaceTime for two months. When it was time for Tim to return home from his summer internship, they planned to finally hang out in person and spend some time in Wilmington, NC, where he lived while in graduate school. It was the week of Kiana's birthday, and she wanted to kick things off with some fun in the sun and have an opportunity to get to know Tim a little better. Let's just say the trip exceeded their expectations, and they both became smitten with one another. After their time together, they would attend a friend's weekend in Myrtle Beach, where Tim would finally make his move to ask her to be more than friends. If you know anything about Tim, he loves planning events and creating exciting and memorable moments. During the trip, he snuck to a candy store to buy what would eventually become an essential item in their relationship. He had been rubbing his knee all day, claiming to have injured it before the trip. After lunch, Tim returned to the beach house and pretended to fall and hurt himself. In complete panic, Kiana runs to grab her phone and call for help, and when she returns, Tim is there on one knee with a Ring Pop, asking her to be his girlfriend, and the rest is history! Many of the special moments within our relationship involve good music, views, and vibes- embodying our theme for this special day! A photo we took before one of the best concerts we've attended is referred to as our 'Mixtape' album cover photo. Our relationship has evolved over the years into an unyielding bond and friendship. Though there have been times when we weren't sure what the future held for us, God had a plan! We are grateful for his love and for loving us enough to fulfill our hearts' desires, and we are so excited for this next chapter in our lives!
