Question

What's going on here?

Answer

Consider this a vacation with all your closest friends and family. But also celebrating us. We will plan some group activities and dinners, there will be some speeches and celebrations, but no ceremony or traditional wedding activities. You are free to vacation before or after our weekend if you want to continue after all your travel, but on the weekend we will be planning events for us all together.

Question

When should I fly in and out?

Answer

You will leave the US on September 17th (18th from Europe), and arrive in Puglia on the 18th. Plan to check in to your hotel on the 18th. We are checking out of our hotel Tuesday September 23, but feel free to stay as long as you please

Question

Where is the best place to stay?

Answer

We encourage everyone to stay 10-20 minute drive from our villa - Masseria Belvedere. Carovigno is the closest city, but Ostuni would also be good! There are lots of air bnb's, hotel's & Masseria's around the region.

Question

Do you need a car?

Answer

Yes, we would encourage everyone to have a car as Puglia is vast countryside and beautiful beaches best explored by car. Look into carpooling together with friends :)

Question

Is there a ceremony?

Answer

No, there will not be a ceremony but lots of gathering around meals and we will allow some select speeches. Message us if your want to make a speech!

Question

What is the attire?

Answer

Plan to pack for a night of cocktails, a festive dinner, and a beach or pool day. We'll be in our best and breeziest Italian attire taking a light inspiration from the movie 'A talented Mr. Ripley'. Here is our mood board: https://www.pinterest.com/lovethelovely/italian-riviera/

Question

What is a Masseria?

Answer

In Italian, "masseria" typically refers to a large, self-sufficient farm or agricultural estate, often with a fortified structure, found in southern Italy, particularly in the region of Puglia. It can also describe a country house or estate. Many of these farms have been turned into boutique hotels.
