Disneyland is always a fan favorite in Southern California. The resort is about a 45 minute drive from Downtown LA in the City of Anaheim. Along with Disneyland is Downtown Disney offering a movie theater, shopping, restaurants and nightlife entertainment.

Visit one of LA's top entertainment studios offering amusement park rides, a studio tour, and other attractions. Next to the park is City Walk with retail shopping, restaurants, a movie theater, and other nightlife entertainment.

Griffith Observatory and Hiking Trails

The Griffith Observatory is a facility in Los Angeles, California, sitting on the south-facing slope of Mount Hollywood in Los Angeles' Griffith Park. It commands a view of the Los Angeles Basin, including Downtown Los Angeles to the southeast, Hollywood to the south, and the Pacific Ocean to the southwest. There are several hiking trails that you can start on that will lead you up to the observatory. You can also start from the observatory and head out on one of the trails.

Boasting spectacular city views, stunning architecture and tranquil gardens, Yamashiro has welcomed guests to its magical setting above Hollywood Boulevard for generations. From its origins as a private estate to its modern incarnation as an Asian fusion restaurant and event venue, the fascinating history of Yamashiro is something out of a Hollywood script. Hundreds of craftsmen were brought from the Orient to recreate the replica of a palace located in the “Yamashiro” province mountains near Kyoto, Japan. Yamashiro sits 250 feet above Hollywood Boulevard and was completed in 1914.

TCL Chinese Theatre is a movie palace on the historic Hollywood Walk of Fame at 6925 Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood, California. Originally named and still commonly known as Grauman's Chinese Theatre, it was renamed Mann's Chinese Theatre in 1973; the name lasted until 2001, after which it reverted to its original name. On January 11, 2013, Chinese electronics manufacturer TCL Corporation purchased the facility's naming rights, under which it is officially known as TCL Chinese Theatre. The Hollywood Walk of Fame comprises more than 2,600 five-pointed terrazzo and brass stars embedded in the sidewalks along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. The famous Hollywood sidewalk area has ben emblazoned with stars & celebrity names since 1960.

When one thinks of Santa Monica, the attraction of the Pier inevitably comes to mind. It's red and yellow Ferris wheel is a city icon. The Pier offers Pacific Park, a full-service amusement park, combined with plenty of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops, as well as an entertaining arcade with more than 200 games. Just east of the Pier, the Third Street Promenade consists of three open-air, car-free blocks that are anchored by upscale Santa Monica Place. With everything from fresh farmers-market produce to designer fashions, it’s a shopper’s nirvana. Likewise, foodies rejoice in the numerous restaurants featuring locally sourced ingredients and craft cocktails. Life pulses around each corner with hotel guests, street performers, shoppers, office workers, diners, barflies, and moviegoers.
