In the Fall of 2020, we met on Zoom during a teacher staff meeting. We had an instant connection when our principal introduced Tim as the newest staff member at Rea, where Jennifer teaches, and mentioned that he was also a Newport Beach Lifeguard. Later that week, Jennifer’s Uncle Mike commented that Rea had just hired one of the lifeguards he worked with. We had something in common from the start. We began working together frequently in the Fall of 2021 when Tim started supporting students with reading in Jennifer’s classroom. Our friendship grew as we continued to work together. Tim was hired full time at Rea in 2022 to teach Kindergarten and we continued to have longer and longer conversations about life and teaching. We loved a good hallway chat! In the Fall of 2023, we became closer friends and started spending time together outside of work. We went line dancing at Cowboy Country, attended a few Ducks games, and in the process started to meet each other’s friends who noticed that we were well matched. In the Spring of 2024, the main topic of hallway chats were Disneyland passes that were going to be on sale for the first time in a long time. We debated with our teacher friends if we should get one. Our story was almost sidetracked when Jennifer got a Disney pass in February and Tim did not because they had sold out. But don’t fret, Tim solved that problem by getting one as well in March! He didn’t want to miss out on the fun or the opportunities to spend time with Jennifer. Now with Disney passes acquired, we began going to Disneyland frequently. First with a big group of friends and eventually just the two of us. Tim challenged Jennifer to ride every ride in both parks for her 30th birthday challenge, so we started going every weekend. We spent so much time together that a day didn’t go by that we didn’t see or talk to one another. In May of 2024, our connection grew even stronger as we had more meaningful talks about life and also bonded over a shared love of music. After one Sunday afternoon filled with conversations about music and concerts, it was fate when Tim found tickets the next day for what would be our first concert together seeing Jordan Davis. We drove down to San Diego for a night of Greek food, amazing music, and unforgettable memories. Little did we know, that would be the first of many Jordan Davis concerts as well as the first of many unforgettable memories we would make together. June 7, 2024 was our last day of school. We obviously needed to celebrate with some Disney fun! After a night of Disney magic, we decided… sure let’s give us a try. In the Summer of 2024, we fell in love over numerous dates, beach walks, sunsets, concerts, trying new coffees, an impromptu trip to Santa Barbara, a surprise 5:30 am coffee, swimming in the ocean, dinners, and summertime joy. The Fall of 2024 was filled with family fun, endless concerts, and many new adventures, including apple picking in Oak Glen. Little did we know Oak Glen would become a bigger part of our story. In the Winter of 2024 we went on our first vacation together to see the Ducks play in Vegas. We also enjoyed our time celebrating our first holidays and ringing in 2025 together. In the Spring of 2025, we finished off another school year while also continuing to date and adventure together. We met a sloth, had many Disney days, cruised together, and continued to enjoy our shared love of music with numerous concerts. On June 14, 2025, what was supposed to be a Father’s Day dinner, turned into the most memorable night filled with a beach walk and a proposal in one of our favorite spots as we decided that YES, YES, YES we have found the one that we can't live without and want to spend forever with! The Summer of 2025 was filled with sharing our good news with all the people we love most and we began dreaming of our big day. We cannot wait to celebrate with you all as we dedicate our life to one another!
