What are Emily and Tim up to on a Saturday morning?
With her up and at 'em attitude, Emily is working out, drinking coffee with a good book, and planning fun activities for the day. Meanwhile, after catching up on his Zzzzzs, Tim rolls out of bed to catch up to his lovely bride-to-be. From there, you can catch them taking a stroll around the Duke Gardens, screaming at the TV watching football (Go Bucks!), and drinking beers (or ciders for our GF friends) while playing card games with their friends.
Skis or Swimsuit?
Trick question—it's both! While Tim and Emily are mostly packing their swimsuits and flip flops when they head out on vacation, Tim and father of the groom Artie are avid skiers. Together, they have started the test of patience that is teaching Emily to ski.
It's Dinner Time! What's the dinner plan for Tim and Emily?
Fun, easy-going and chill bride Emily plans meals for the weeknights on Sunday, so you can catch her cooking dinner after work and Tim tackling the dishes. Come Thursday, often date night at the Berkshire residence, Tim has taken control of the plans, so chances are you can find these two going out to the local watering hole kicking off the weekend in style.
Where do Emily and Tim call home?
From the warm beaches of California to bustling streets of Chicago, Emily and Tim have been fortunate to call many places home. The lovebirds currently live in Durham, NC where Tim is finishing up Law School at Duke (ask him all about Torts and footnotes). The two will be leaving a piece of their heart in Durham and packing up to move to Chicago in the summer—with frequent visits to sunny Santa Monica to visit two very important people, nephews Joey and Christopher (and, I suppose, their parents and grandparents).
Do Tim and Emily have any pets?
The short answer—no. The long answer—Emily has started a campaign to convince Tim that they absolutely need a puppy. While Tim has put forth many rational and seemingly convincing arguments against, it's unclear how long he will be able to hold out. Sources are telling us that Santa might be bringing Tim a puppy in the near future.
What Youngs and Southams should I be on the lookout for?
- Parents of the bride Jim & Tina, known as "JY and TY", are the life of any party. They'll be toasting the occasion with red wine—an occasion they've put tremendous love and thought into over the last 2 years. In fact, there are whispers that JY will miss Emily yapping about the wedding. Tip: If TY has enough wine, she might teach us to Greek dance. - If a well-dressed woman comes up to you and says you need a margarita, you've met mother of the groom Beezie, and closely behind is father of the groom Artie. They'll be the first on the D floor and the last to leave. If they ask you to dance, the only answer is yes! - Brother of the groom Stephen, known as "Stevo", is attending his first wedding and boy it's a big one! Emily is still recovering from him asking if he could "wing" his wedding speech, but the gentle giant is known for his jokes and thoughtful insights. - Allie, Molly & Abby, the Southam sisters, are wedding pros. Having been through this before, they know what they are doing. While each unique, their generosity and sense of humor helped mold Tim into the man he is (and thus make this wedding possible). - Most say in-laws, we say Outlaws. Brother-in-laws Big Tim, Max & Michael will be tearing up the D floor and cracking jokes all night. They've been showing Emily the ropes of being a Southam, and for that she is grateful. - If you run into Joey and Christopher before their bedtime, consider yourself lucky! They are by far the cutest of the bunch.
Will Emily and Tim's friends drink the bar dry?
The answer is yes. The answer is ALWAYS yes. If you come across someone holding a Miller Lite telling you that you HAVE to do a shot of Malort, chances are you've come across one of Tim and Emily's beloved best pals. Should you choose to drink and spend time with them, it's a guaranteed good time. However, we cannot guarantee how you will feel the next morning. Proceed with caution...
