We met at our best friends' wedding! The most rom-com of love stories, we were paired up to walk down the aisle, and hit it off later in the night. Even though we lived in two different states, we were excited to talk and get to know each other. For months after the wedding, we messaged each other every day, growing in interest and excitement for each other. Late in the summer, another wedding brought Tim to Wisconsin, and we had our first real date at Frank's Diner and Six Flags Great America. At the end of the trip, we were already planning our next time to get together!

Emily was hoping for and anticipating a proposal since she wrote "get engaged to Tim" on her bingo board on New Years Eve 2024. At that time, Tim and Emily were still living in two different states, but they knew this relationship was it. In late spring of 2025, Emily quit her job, sold her house, and moved to Minnesota so she and Tim could start their lives together in their new home. Living together was a total dream, and they were both so happy with where life was taking them. On Christmas Day, Tim proposed!!! It was just the two of them, in their home on Christmas morning. Tim hid the ring at the bottom of his stocking (which Emily had already stuffed with gifts a few days prior), and asked Emily to marry him. She said yes! They enjoyed some time together, and then went over to Tim's mom's house for Christmas, where they could share their exciting news!
