We're getting married!

We met in the Spring of 2016 at a nonprofit where we both worked... Interest was sparked almost immediately. We quickly became friends, regularly carpooling home from work and visiting each other’s desks throughout the day. After a few months of discreet flirting (or so we thought), we went on our first real date! It was a cool September evening; we picked up dinner, carried it down to the Navy Yard waterfront, and watched people walk along the river. Tim, ever the attention-seeker, played cheesy love songs on his ukulele… and Constance couldn't help but start to fall. The rest was history really – we met and bonded with each other’s families, we traveled across the country and internationally. We went on long road trips, we danced at friends’ weddings (Tim tried to dance), we laughed, we cried (Constance cried), we fell in love! After a joyful year and a half, on April 5, 2018, Tim woke up and said, “Today is the day!” He had picked up the ring a few days earlier and had been waiting for just the right moment to surprise Constance. The warm spring weather and newly opened cherry blossoms provided a perfect backdrop for an evening picnic at Upper Senate Park, where Tim bent the knee and asked Constance to marry him.
