When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please register by June 15th, 2026. You can register by clicking on the RSVP tab at the top of the main page. On that page, follow the instructions in order to RSVP. Can't wait to have you join us for our special day!

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, if you would like to honor us with a gift, our registry will be available here on our website starting June 15th, 2026. Because we are traveling from Dallas to Calgary for our celebration, we kindly request that gifts be sent directly to our home through the registry rather than brought to the venue. Please note that the registry will be in USD. We will send out a brief update before it opens so everyone feels comfortable with the process.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Guests are invited to arrive anytime after 4:30 p.m. via the back entrance of the restaurant. The ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We’ve elected to have a Formal dress code for our wedding. For men, this typically means a suit and tie; for women, a floor-length gown, jumpsuit, suit, or dressy separates. While we’re excited to see everyone in their finest attire, please know that your comfort is our top priority. We appreciate you doing what you can to dress for the occasion, but we understand that formal wear can be a bit of a balancing act! Our goal is for you to feel like the best version of yourself so you can fully enjoy the evening and hit the dance floor with us!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Because our venue and recommended hotels are located in such close proximity within the heart of downtown, we will not be providing a formal shuttle service. Most accommodations are just a short, scenic walk or a 2-minute Uber/Lyft ride away from Bonterra Trattoria.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes, we recommend the two closest hotels to the venue, The Marriott Residence Inn and the Best Western Hotel. Please visit the travel tab to review hotel details.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we adore all the children in our lives, we’ve decided to keep our event adults-only. We are so grateful for the arrangements you're making to celebrate with us and we can't wait to see you there!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! As part of the RSVP, if you aren't able to add it to the formal RSVP, please send an email to caitlin.karpetz@gmail.com and the bride will take note!

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to the intimate nature of our venue, we are only able to accommodate the guests formally invited on your invitation.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Bonterra Trattoria offers 3 hours of free parking in the Indigo lot located behind the restaurant, accessible via 10th Ave SW, or at the Albertan Corner (1010 8th Street SW). The bride and groom are determining how guests will validate their parking or if paid parking options are also available.
