Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Tim Kilbride and Bryan Rippeon
There's a lot to do around Ireland, but most things take some driving. If you're looking for easy activities on foot, stick close to bigger cities like Dublin and Galway. The wedding venue is in between the two cities. However, it's much more fun to explore, and that takes driving around. We've put together a list of some recommended activities near Galway on the west coast and Nenagh, which is the town nearest the wedding venue in Co. Tipperary. While the area around Nenagh is quiet compared to other parts of the country, there are some nice destinations for day trips, especially for the Monday and Tuesday we’ll be at Ashley Park House. The town of Cashel is about an hour away, Limerick is 40 minutes, and Killaloe/Ballina are 20 minutes. Nearby Lough Derg is beautiful, with pubs and restaurants tucked in along the shore, and activities on the water. For a bigger list of activities, check out Discover Ireland or the Galway tourism site.
