2015. Spring semester junior year. Colgate University. Probably snowing. Two a cappella nerds rehearse a song together for a musical theater showcase, laughing about the lyrics, completely clueless about what's to come. The stage brought us together and so we've been ever since. After graduation, Anne settled in NYC to start her career in publishing, and Obi bopped around the CT/RI border, working in restaurants and attending culinary school. Obi eventually made his way to the city and they moved in together within the year, settling in their favorite Brooklyn neighborhood with lots of family nearby. A week before their nine-year anniversary, Obi surprised Anne with his proposal (okay, yes, she knew it was coming at some point soon but she really was in shock!), hijacking his own 30th birthday party and turning it into their engagement party. And come next May, we'll be closing out our first decade together by celebrating with all of you!
