Amanda and Tim met on the patio of their favorite family restaurant over looking Point Judith harbor! After a long day of fishing, Tim and his friend landed at Champlin's Seafood for a drink and sunset with their favorite bartender, Keri. Amanda and her bestie Celia were wrapping up a yoga photoshoot on the beach across the street when they decided to go see Celia's Auntie Keri at the bar for her award winning margarita! Some friends of theirs, including Celia's mom Colleen, were with them at the photoshoot, so they all piled onto Champlin's back deck for the sunset. A full bar left only one seat available, Amanda sat down to save that corner for her and her friends, little did she know she sat down next to her future husband! When Amanda got up to go to the bathroom, Keri and Colleen began orchestrating their plan. They spoke to each of them individually hinting to exchange info with each other, but neither of them were willing to make the first move. After a beautiful sunset, some laughs and a margarita (or two), Tim gave his number to Amanda! The rest is history...
After Tim and Amanda moved to Midcoast Maine, they made a lot of impromptu trips back to Rhode Island to see family and friends. In June of 2019, Amanda drove down to visit for a couple days while Tim was working, they made a plan for Tim to meet Amanda in R.I. when he was done. Since it was such a quick trip, Amanda knew it wouldn't be enough time to see everyone they wanted to individually, so she made a plan to have everyone meet at Champlin's back deck for sunset (their favorite thing!). Tim saw this as an opportunity. While on the road, he used this quick plan to see everyone to set up a thoughtful proposal full of friends and family. With the help of a few amazing people, Tim pulled off the most beautiful surprise proposal in the exact spot they met overlooking the harbors sunset. Pictures of the last three years together were posted everywhere, flowers were on the tables, flower petals were tossed on the ground and a flower crown was made for the bride-to-be! They were surrounded by so much love, support and happiness, and Amanda had NO CLUE about any of it! I guess thats the benefit to planning a surprise proposal in less than 48 hours! Go Tim!
