We are getting Married!!

We met through a mutual friend during a night out in Towson. The plan was simple: bar-hop, have fun, crash at Matthew’s place. The reality? We barely spoke, went to totally different bars, and Ashley still left her favorite shoes at his house. (How? Nobody knows.) Jump ahead an entire year, when we planned another night out and discovered—against all odds—he STILL had her shoes. This time we actually talked, bonded, and he didn’t even judge her Malibu Bay Breeze order. He definitely rolled his eyes every time he ordered it, but love is about compromise. Ashley realized there was something special about Matthew the night they got back from the bars and both cheffed up grilled cheeses for everyone at 2 a.m. and then went full “sleepover dad,” making sure all her friends had blankets, pillows, and hydration. True gentleman. After taking it slow, or a little friend-zoning, we ended up alone at Moonrise Festival after our friends bailed and joke that it was our first date. Somewhere on the Ferris wheel, Ashley thought, “Yep… this is definitely not just a friend. This is boyfriend vibes, my first boyfriend!? Very rom-com of us.” Didn’t see that one coming. A few months later, he asked her to be his girlfriend inside a fortune cookie—very subtle, very smooth. And then, plot twist: found out our first year of dating would be long-distance while he was deployed to Afghanistan. Not exactly the easy start, but if we could get through time zones, spotty Wi-Fi, and keeping each other laughing through some stressful days, if we could get through that we figured we could handle pretty much anything. Since then, we’ve traveled the world, adopted our fur baby Gibson, survived our ~New Girl~ era living with friends, bought our first home, hit milestones in our careers, got engaged, and now… we’re getting married! We can’t wait to celebrate with all our favorite people—thanks for being part of the chaos and the love and more to come. 💛
