We’re getting married!

On a very special vacation in Eagle Crest with Kara’s family, Nic popped the question on a hike at Steelhead Falls with their dog Luna. On the hike, Nic was acting suspicious because what Kara didn’t know is he was very nervous and their lives were about to change forever. Nic walked Kara down to the waterfall, and thats when she saw Star Lillies (her favorite flowers) and a bottle of Prosseco. Kara’s heart started to flutter because that’s when she knew something BIG was about to happen. Nic pulled her close, got down on one knee, and said, “I knew from the moment I met you, you were my forever… will you spend the rest of your life with me?” Kara could not say yes quick enough. They hugged, kissed and were so overwhelmed with happiness and emotion that Nic almost forgot to put the ring on. To make the surprise even more special, Nic’s family was hiding at the end of the hike and they finished the hike together. When they got back to Eagle Crest, Kara’s family had decorated the house, made all her favorite foods, and even had a custom cake waiting for them. Family is everything to the both of them, so being able to celebrate with both families together was perfection. Kara couldn’t have asked for a more special day, family, place and fiancé! Central Oregon was already a special place for them both because they have many memories there growing up, but now it holds an even bigger piece of their heart. Nic and Kara have already been back to Steelhead Falls for their Engagement Anniversary with their newest dog Ivy, and they can’t wait to visit again!
