Groom
Mr. Chris. Flurfle. Christopher Heimsoth. My groom. It's been ten years. Ten years of dates, of exploring new places together, of finishing each others thoughts, of watching scary movies, of deep discussions about life, of liking the same things and hating the same things, of supporting each other when things get hard, of subliminally convincing you to ditch the Cowboys fandom, of celebrating each others accomplishments, of choosing each other day in and day out. It all leads to this. I love you and I can't wait to have the spookiest coolest wedding with you. Whatever. Fun Fact: There are two moments from the beginning of our relationship that I think of as being the moments I knew you loved me. The first is when I found out you actually do like pickles even though you'd been giving me your pickle every time we went out to eat since the beginning. I was shocked and you said "yeah I do like them but you like them more". swoon. And the second was when you planned out a whole day for Valentines day and you even scheduled in a nap for me. I felt so seen by you. It's always been the little things for me. I love you more than naps and pickles combined. Bonus Fact 1: That drink he's talking about tasted like grass. Bonus Fact 2: Our first kiss was on Halloween. And now we shall have our first kiss as a married couple on the same day.
Bride
My little lady. It's been over 10 amazing years of relying on each other, reaching goals together, lifting each other up, and always choosing us. Food tastes better, things are funnier, my heart is fuller and life is lived more deeply when I'm with you. The moment you entered my life at NFL Films, the timeline of my future completely rearranged itself to make sure you were part of it - fate simply wouldn't allow it any other way. Our first kiss was on Halloween in 2015, and I thought I was the luckiest guy in the world then. Little did I know that day would pale in comparison to what was to come. It instead marked the beginning of a cascade of fortunate events, culminating in your hand in marriage. Kathryn, I can't wait to marry you and continue our journey together under the pale moon light. Whatever. Fun Fact: I introduced Kathryn, a Philadelphia native, to South Street, a Philadelphia nightlife staple, where she ate Jim's Cheesesteaks for the first time (my former favorite cheesesteak). Bonus Fact: One of the first moments I knew she loved me was when I made Moscow Mules for a Halloween pregame near the start of our relationship, and she said they were great -- only to find out later she hates that drink and only drank it because I made it. Oh, and I was an avid Cowboys fan at the time and she STILL wanted to date me. I'm very thankful she didn't give up on me lol
Best Man
Brother of the Groom and (younger) twin. There have been more random things and moments that have caused us to die laughing together than I’ll ever be able to remember. From growing up together, to sleepovers and random youtube binges and streams after moving apart, to gaming across the country together, Charlie has been a very important, and constant, light in my life. My world would be dimmer without him. Fun fact: As a child, he would entertain my friends with his video game prowess during house parties while the parents were away.
Matron of Honor
Older sister of the bride, or more accurately "Sisterbitch". IYKYK. Kelly is the yang to my yin, the tall to my short, the thrill to my chill. She has taught me everything from how to bong a beer, what to do when my lips are chapped (the answer is sing) and the fact that you should never trust a moving vehicle, it just might run you over. We've been through it all by each other's sides and we always will. Fun Fact: It was Kelly who started my love for Harry Potter. She was reading the first book before I was at that reading level so I would go into her room each night and ask her "what happened during the story today?". The rest, as they say, is history.
Best Man
The Groom's oldest friend and biggest confidant, Galen is the quintessential best friend. Sporting one of the most infectious laughs of all time, it's quite simply impossible to be unhappy around him. Anyone would be lucky enough to call him a friend, let alone have him as their best man at their wedding — to have both is to know a fortune reserved for only a chosen few. The Varro to my Spartacus, the double Galen to my triple Turp, I would go to war for this man (O'Doyle Rules!). Fun fact: He introduced me to deathcore music, specifically Job for a Cowboy.
Matron of Honor
The Bride's best friend since high school. Kate is my ride or die. We've been through awkward teenager stages, first crushes, sharing prom dresses and birthday parties, losing mutual friendships, finding speakeasies, being terrified by paranormal activity, running the table during Chesties and now navigating adulthood. Kate is the one who is and has always been there for me no matter what. Fun Fact: During one of those shared birthday parties, our 27th to be exact, Kate and I shared the ultimate bonding experience of throwing up side by side. Her in the toilet, me in the sink. What a night.
Groomsman
The Groom's brother from another (Kansas) mother, Sheridan is always brimming with positivity, good vibes and a unique perspective. His friendship runs deep, a true-blue bond forged in the fires of the soul, and I’ll cherish it forever. My life would be drastically different without this man, as his family took care of me as one of their own while I lived in Kansas. Fun Fact: As a board game aficionado, he'll spank you (respectfully) at anything.
Bridesmaid
My roomie! Erin and I met in college and lived together for three years. For two of those years I basically lived in her closet lol she was recently able to live in my closet at the bachelorette party for a fun full circle moment! The only person I've shared a room with longer than Erin is Chris. Erin is my go to person for anything Harry Potter, cheese related snacks, or help hanging curtains. ;) Fun Fact: I call her Ern without the "i" and she calls me Cadbury and I can't even really remember why lol
Groomsman
The Groom's future brother-in-law, Tony is, quite simply, the man. He's someone you can rely on when you need help or for making a good time even better (just don't ask him to run slot machines for you). He’s felt like family since day 1, and I’m stoked he’s part of the big day. Fun fact: He saved our lives at Oktoberfest after having a few too many post-proposal celebratory drinks.
Bridesmaid
The Groom's younger sister and my soon-to-be sister-in-law! Mariah is the perfect person to hype you up when you need it, to get into deep discussions with over a book you both love, or if you simply need a shoulder to cry on or some life advice. A sweet and caring soul who I am grateful to have as a new sister. Fun Fact: May be the only person with a higher heart rate than me during the proposal. That bridge was scary!
Groomsman/Officiant
Steve has seen the Bride and Groom's relationship blossom from the very beginning, and as such there's no one better to pull double-duty than this man! Steve is both a hardened Delco hooligan, and a sweet, soft spoken Swiftie - find you a man that can do both! We've enjoyed many conversations over the years about music, nature, life, love, and why the Birds have caused his blood pressure to spike again. Above all though, we've talked about being present - and I savor every moment during our hangouts. Fun fact: Can't forget the time Chris spent our anniversary with Steve instead of me :) I'll never let yous live this down lol
Bridesman
The homie! Kwab is one of the brightest lights I've ever met. He makes you feel special just for the fact that he chose to be your friend. I feel like the funniest person on the planet around him with his contagious laughter and extraordinary talent of always calling me out on my random quirks. (RANDOM QUIRKS!) or as he refers to them, my "Kayteeisms" Forever grateful for our time on GMFB together. I'm still laughing over Mike spilling that milk. Fun Fact: Kwab and I won our Emmys together while working on Good Morning Football! The only year they ever won mind you.
Groomsman
The Groom's (unofficial) big brother. Ryan's always been there for me, ever since I was a kid. He constantly looks out for me (sometimes annoyingly so lol), but that's what big brothers are for and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm thankful for everything he's taught me over the years, and I truly cherish the (countless) memories made while growing up with him and the Richardsons (my home away from home). He's been a sorely needed constant in my life. Fun fact: There is no Chris without there first being the "Suck Monster" (ask him what that means).
Bridesmaid
Genna is the only person who I have successfully convinced to join me in the bartending game! From long hours on our feet, scorching summer days, and parking wars our friendship grew to sushi dates, heart to hearts, and now wedding planning! Text me when you get home! Not that fun but still a fact: Its pronounced like Jenna just with a G. Chris called her Gina for like a month when he met her.
Mother of the Groom
Along with my Dad, Mom has always been one of my biggest supporters, best friends, confidants, mentor, and fan -- she would go to the ends of the Earth for me if I wanted it (and she was always my biggest video game supporter haha thanks mom!). I never take for granted having a mom as great as Kelley because to be her son is truly a privilege beyond words. She's someone that cares deeply and to feel her love is to bask in the glow of a 1000 suns. I love you Mom and this day wouldn't be possible without you. Catch her on the dance floor busting a move! Fun Fact: I credit my creativity coming from mom. From crafting and drawing to planning and hosting badass parties, it all comes from her. I wouldn't be in the media production industry as an Emmy award winner without her!
Mother of the Bride
"I love you mommy. You're the bestest mommy in the whole wide world and the prettiest and the cutest too." --little katie My mom has always been there for me and I know that she always will be. We certainly have our differences but I am so grateful that she accepts me as me. Like having a spooky themed wedding for example would not be up her alley but it certainly is up mine! And all the creativity that I've led my life with and poured into this wedding comes from her. All the little poems she used to write or the impromptu stories she would tell us with Grandmom were there from the beginning. I will always remember the story about how Farah Fawcett was just a girl who got her toe stuck in a faucet. Grandmom certainly passed down her creativity to you and then you to me. What a wonderful creative branch to be a part of on our family tree. I love you mom. Fun Fact: I once saved my mom's life when I was a kid. We had convinced her to ride the Rock n' Roller Coaster with us at Disney which was a feat in and of itself. When it was time to get buckled in the guy only checked her seatbelt not her body harness. So I casually just reached over and clicked it in and the ride started immediately and I will never forget her face in shock staring at me like what the heck just happened.
Father of the Groom
Charlie is my Fasha, and, along with my mom, my first best friend. Playing football outside, collecting football cards together, going at it for Eagles/Cowboys games, Charlie's Cheesesteaks, road trips, wrestling in the living room, funny face photos, and just sitting at home, talking and laughing -- he epitomizes what an amazing father should be, and he's always been there for me when I needed it (what more can you ask for). I've learned a lot from him throughout the years (including how to make a 7 'n 7), and if I die half the man he is, I'd be happy -- I love you Dad. Catch him headbanging on the dance floor! Fun Fact: there's many, many fun facts about him, but heavy, hardcore music is an indelible part of my life, so it's only right that I highlight that it comes from him. Both parents loved similar music, but dad's unparalleled love of AC/DC (and similar bands) started me on the path I am today - I was almost a musician by trade because of that passion. And it all stems from my father.
Father of the Bride
Some know him as Jim, some know him as Moon/Mooner, some know him as JFM, some know him as Pop, but I know him as Dad. One name is just not good enough for a man this cool. If you know him you get that. I've always taken after him and he once told me I am lucky for that because that means I will age like fine wine, just like he has. From him I get my looks, my common sense, my sense of direction (he used to call himself Jim Jim back when Tom Toms were a thing), definitely not my spelling ability, but absolutely my ingenuity. He has taught me how to be a good worker and to be resilient and smart. Why do it the hard way when you can do it the smart way. He also taught me not to forget to breathe! lol something he would say when mom was being a mom. But one of the best things he taught me is to live in the present. I remember going to Disney World in high-school with my family. While watching the fireworks and trying to take pictures of them, he told me that pictures will never do them justice and that I'll miss what's right in front of me if I keep trying to capture it through my phone. That completely changed my worldview. I am so grateful to have learned that at a young age. Life is about experiences with the people you love. And boy has it been a lovely experience having you as a dad. I love you. Fun Fact: He's the reason I know so much music. I may not know who sings it or what its called but I know the lyrics! Due to our Wednesday night dance parties DJ'd by Dad.
Guardian of the Rings
The older sister to the Groom, Natalie might be the coolest person I know. Straight up (I am routinely told how great she is by others and I love it every time). She's someone that gets along with everyone and always keeps the party going no matter what. Ever since I was a kid, I looked up to her in every way imaginable, and I would fight people for her attention haha she was my big sister after all. I would always jump at the chance to tag along with Dad when he would visit her, and to this day those visits in Alameda are some of my fondest memories. She's a badass that continues to inspire me in many ways today, and this wedding wouldn't be complete without her. Fun Fact: Natalie was an accomplished figure skater as a teenager. I went to a few of her competitions as a kid and she medaled every time!
Handler of the Hounds
Once upon a time, a Kaytee and her dog Shosanna were taking a walk around their apartment complex. They saw in the distance the cutest little fluffy golden pup being walked by her mom. Kaytee really wanted to go and pet the puppy and since Shosanna was also super interested she decided to let Shosanna drag her over to say hello. Kaytee said "Hi sorry she'd like to say hello if that's okay" and the girl responded "Hi, yes of course. I'm Cate and this is Charlie". We found out that they lived right out back of our apartment and from that day on Shosanna and Charlie became the best of friends. Park dates, running around in the snow, wrestling in the grass, sharing sticks and even medical issues too. Cate has been our doggie mom bestie ever since and we are honored to have her escort and take care of our dogs on wedding day. Fun Fact: Kathryn and I were actually friends with her mom first, Geri. Geri would mention her daughter every now and then in conversation but we never saw her - until that fateful day when she was walking Charlie around the parking lot. The rest is history.
