We're Getting Married!

Our story is one we love to tell-- It all started at "Old School Rap"- a fraternity party at Sewanee, where we both attended. Tilden had just finished playing field hockey for the season and was eager to have a fun night with friends and teammates. Alex had just been initiated onto the men's basketball team, leaving him with a shaved head. Tilden had decided to have a friend put cornrows in her hair for the occasion... So, looking our finest, we hit the dance floor unknowing of what the night would bring. Amongst the blaring music and dancing students, in a single moment Alex and Tilden made eye contact across the dance floor and smiled. Tilden recalls looking down immediately stirred by the direct eye contact and telling her friend that the "cute boy next door" just made eye contact with her, but when she looked back up he was no where to be seen. The moment of disappointment was interrupted by a tap on her shoulder, to which she turned around and found Alex standing there smiling- "Hi!" and Tilden in return said "I think your cute"-- and everything was history after that :)

Alex went above and beyond to make Tilden's dream proposal a reality. He proposed on the beach in Boca Grande, Florida on a beautiful evening, with a beautiful sunset, and it was perfect. To top the evening off, we were able to celebrate with our families afterwards- including Mr. and Mrs. Arnold who surprised Tilden in Boca Grande! Who knew Tilden's family could keep a secret for months! We're so excited to share this next chapter of our lives with you!
