While we’re grateful you’d like your children to attend our special moment with you, we are not welcoming children at this event. Please arrange accordingly as we will have a 21+ guest list only.
Our culinary team will do their best to accommodate any food allergies. If you have specific dietary allergies, please contact Derek or Caitlin directly to ensure your needs are recorded in advance. For guests requesting vegetarian or vegan meals, please note that these options will be chef’s choice only. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you.
We have chosen not to participate in room blocking for our wedding, as most of our expected guests are local. However, we have compiled a list of several hotels in the area that we, along with our vendors, recommend. Please visit the Accommodations page for more details!
We kindly ask that all RSVPs be submitted no later than August 1st. Unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate guests who do not RSVP by this date. Thank you for your understanding!
Our venue is located within a historic museum, so we kindly ask all guests to plan accordingly and arrive at least 30 minutes before the ceremony begins. This will allow ample time for parking, finding your way to the theater, and getting seated. To ensure a smooth start, we ask that all guests be seated no later than 5:50 PM. Thank you for your cooperation. Please park near and enter through the welcome center doors. You are also able to enter through the clock tower entrance as well.
We’re excited to share that the museum will be open for our guests to explore during the reception! However, we kindly ask that you wait until after dinner has been served before beginning to explore.
We kindly ask all guests to refrain from using cell phones or personal cameras during our ceremony. We are investing in a professional photographer to capture these special moments, and we want everyone to be fully present with us. Any guest using a phone or camera during the ceremony will be asked to leave for the night. We also ask that all cell phones remain in the silent position, or remain turned off during the ceremony.
The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal, but we encourage you to dress comfortably so you can fully enjoy the celebration.
Due to venue restrictions and our carefully planned guest list, we are unable to accommodate any guests not specifically named on the invitation. We appreciate your understanding!
Due to the presence of historic breeds of livestock on the grounds, The Henry Ford does not permit any animals on the premises. Unfortunately, this means we are unable to accommodate pets or other animals at our event. We appreciate your understanding and respect for the venue’s guidelines.
We’re excited to offer an open bar during our cocktail hour and reception—so get ready to raise a glass with us! A quick reminder: Per The Henry Ford’s policy, you must have a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID to be served alcohol. No ID, no drinks—no exceptions. Thanks for celebrating responsibly with us!
