We met along the halls of Thurgood Marshall Middle School, you know, before the name became an airport and later became pretty good friends. From one school to another, we orbited around each other until that one day I ran into him on the campus of Towson University. From then on our friendship blossomed like a garden in the spring. From being good school friends to being best friends. From there a relationship ensued which brought true love and companionship and happiness for us both.

A sunny plane ride to Miami, Florida for a close friend's birthday ended up being the absolute best vacation ever. From exploring the streets of Little Havana and South Beach we were enjoying quality time with family and friends. Little did I know a surprise was in-store for me. As we all gathered around the table that Saturday night on July 20, 2019 for a birthday toast camera phones appeared to capture the moment. Thurston turned to me in the middle of his toast and took my hand and asked to make it official and embark on this lifelong journey with him as his wife. In front of our close friends and family I answered YES!
