We encourage all guests to use the wedding weekend as a chance to explore all that Tuscany has to offer! Flying to Europe earlier in the week will give you ample time to relax and adjust to Italy’s time zone. If you are arriving on Thursday, October 22nd, schedule your flight to land in the morning so that you can get to the Borgo with time to freshen up before the welcome party.
From October 22–25, you can expect mild, comfortable days, cooler evenings, with temperatures typically ranging from 55-75 degrees. It’s a lovely time to experience Tuscany’s autumn beauty — not too hot, not too cold.
While we love all of our family and friends little one’s, unfortunately, we will not be able to accommodate any children at the weekends events.
There is seldom a need to exchange currency any more as most businesses accept major credit cards (Visa and MC, American Express) but if you have some cash you would like to exchange for euros it is recommended to do so before traveling abroad as they charge high commissions and may refuse to exchange large amounts of cash.
Yes, during the weekend whenever there is no planned event you are free to leave the borgo and explore the surrounding countryside. The borgo will have a shuttle running for 20 euros to take you to nearby villages and wineries. We recommend planning any wine tastings in advance. In addition, Borgo Casa al Vento has its own spa, wine tastings, and cooking classes available to all guests. Please schedule with reception if you wish to do any of the above.
