First Date

December 13, 2015

Tiffany and Will's first date was at Company Burger on Freret. At school one day, Tiffany had casually mentioned to Will that her favorite food was a bacon cheeseburger, and Will gathered the courage to ask her out. At the time, Tiffany was unaware that this was a date, but she was secretly hoping that it was. On the date, they spent three hours eating, chatting about the Saints game that was on in the background, and talking endlessly about their lives outside of work. After they finished their food, the decided to take a walk to Samuel Square Park to continue talking. Once there, Tiffany asked the question that had been burning a hole in her mind all afternoon: "Hey, is this a date?" With a grin, Will said, "I sure hope so," and Tiffany replied, "Good. Me, too." And the rest is history.

The Proposal

November 28, 2019

It was Thanksgiving Day at Will's Aunt Suzie's house. The family had just finished coming back from a walk around the neighborhood (to work off their dinner), and Will and Tiffany settled on the couch to get off their feet and watch some football. After seeing a commercial for an engagement ring, Tiffany leaned over and said, "I'm okay with you asking me to marry you whenever because I'll always say yes whether it's tomorrow, a month from now, or even years from now. But just know that you can't surprise me. I'll always see it coming from a mile away." Will sat up a little, and said, "Oh really? I can't surprise you?" Tiffany, looking back at the TV, replied, "Yep. I'm always a step or two ahead of you." Will, then, proceeded to dig in his pocket for the engagement ring box he'd stashed there earlier that morning. He opened it and asked her, "Will you marry me?" Tiffany was shocked, as earlier that morning she'd jokingly asked Will if he planned on proposing to her, and he'd told her no. Looks like Will IS capable of surprising Tiffany. Oh, and this probably goes without saying, but she said YES!
