“I met Nathaniel at Iron Gate Estate Winery in New South Wales, Australia. I saw this shy guy sitting next to me & knew I had to talk to him. This short conversation would be the first of many. Happenstance would bring us together the next night at 4 Pines Brewery in Manly Beach, where Nathaniel saved me from a miserable interaction with someone else at my table. The night after, I was near the Sydney Opera House when Nathaniel saw me & flagged me down. We talked & walked around the city all night until we caught the very last ferry back to Manly Beach. Since that night, we have been inseparable. We talked for hours. He made me laugh, he made me think, & he made me feel heard. Last summer, I was thrilled to say yes when he proposed at a winery—much like the one where we first met.” -Tiffany “The first time I saw Tiffany I couldn’t take my eyes off her. We shared two classes over the summer, but it wasn’t until several chance encounters in Australia that we started talking. We ended up seated next to each other at the Iron Gate Estate Winery and had a brief interaction. The next night a friend invited me out to a bar, where I ran in to Tiffany and we talked about her love of ska. That weekend we crossed paths multiple times in one night. She came up to me at a craft market, I saw her at the Sydney Opera House and we walked together, and at the end of the night we both caught the last ferry back to Manly Beach, where we spent the rest of the evening talking. After that night I found every opportunity I could to spend time with Tiffany. When we flew home from Australia and I thought I would never see her again, she messaged me. A few days later we met up at the movies and spent Fourth of July together. She was, and still is, my best friend. I knew early in our relationship that if she was willing, I would spend the rest of my life with her. Last summer I asked her to do that with me, and I am overjoyed that she said yes.” -Nathaniel
