His Perspective: We met our senior year in college at South Carolina State University through mutual friends. There was something really different about Tiffany and I knew from the first time that I met her that she would be my wife. After we graduated, we kept in touch as friends. Over the years our friendship continued to grow and we fell in love. Friendship is the foundation of our love story and the component that will push us to forever.

In 2019, Tyler traveled to Philly for Christmas. While Tiffany was at work, Tyler called a family meeting to figure out a good time to propose. Every year at Christ we play games based around the Bible. During this Christmas my Dad and Tyler worked together to incorporate his proposal into a card game that we were playing. The game is a card game where there are pictures and questions on the back of the cards. If you guess the question correctly you get to flip over a card until you make a match. Without Tiffany knowing, they printed out 2 rings on the cards and added them into the deck. During Tyler's turn he guessed the question correctly and flipped over the card, the rings. We all looked around confused but my family was in on it the entire time. My Dad asked me, "Do you know what the ring means?" My Dad then looked over to Tyler and asked him the same question. Tyler then looked at me then walked around the table to get down on one knee. He took out the ring and said: "When we first started dating we were both still trying to figure life out - there's no one I would rather figure life out with but you." and of course I said, YES!
