We met at our Alma Mater, Xavier University of Louisiana. We went to school together for years, but never really had a conversation. While in pharmacy school, a group of our friends got together for a night out. Little did I know my best friend Monique and Sean had been plotting the whole thing. We hit it off instantly. We later had our first “date” and from then on became inseperable!

Sean had been saying he wanted to start a tradition of going to a nice dinner for New Year’s Eve. We got dressed and had a romantic dinner at Brennan’s of Houston. Dinner ended, and we headed to the front door. As I stepped outside I started to hear screams. Confused, I turned to my left and saw balloons that read “I DO”. Then I started recognizing all these faces and I realized this surprise was for me! I was in shock! He got on one knee and asked me to marry him in front of my family and friends. I could not have asked for a better proposal.
