Tiffany

Bride

Tiffany grew up in Shenyang, China and moved to California when she was 9 years old. She didn't understand any English before the year 2000, so unfortunately only knows 21st century music and movies. Her first meal in America was a hot dog topped with mustard and relish, which she immediate spit back out. The only thing worse than this was her first burger. At home, her hobbies include hosting guests, watering plants and cleaning the apartment. At her job, Tiffany is responsible for hosting guests, watering plants and cleaning the building. It was nice when someone offered to give her paychecks for her hobbies. Nowadays, she lives in the desert with Sakib and their 98 plants. She orders her cheeseburgers with extra mustard and extra extra pickles.

Sakib

Groom

Sakib grew up in Michigan, and graduated with a degree in Mathematics from Michigan State University. After returning from a trip with the boys to Las Vegas, he decided his apartment was just. too. cold. He packed his bags to take a staff accountant job in SoCal. A place where he had enjoyed a warm and sunny internship years ago. At work, Sakib is responsible for budget planning, negotiating contracts, and paying vendors. In his free time, he does the same for the household. Unfortunately for him, Tiffany does not give him a paycheck for spending three hours on the phone with Spectrum to argue for $5 less per month on internet service. Nowadays, he shares a home in the desert with his "collectable" Legos and his Xbox (and Tiffany).

Greg & Kitty Lantz

Parents of the Bride

Kitty and Greg were introduced by a mutual friend in 1995. Kitty used to bring an electronic translator on dates to help her communicate with Greg. Their first date was to the movies to watch Yellowstone in IMAX. Kitty was excited to tell her friends "I went on a date to Yellowstone!", and they were all impressed with the long journey they made in one day. 8 months · 8 days · 8 hours after that movie, Kitty and Greg got married in Las Vegas on June 28th. After 25 years of marriage, the batteries in the translator have died. Most days, Greg is no longer able to understand what Kitty is saying. This is good news, as it means they can't really have an argument.

Mahmood & Imrana Akhtar

Parents of the Groom

Mahmood and Imrana met in Pakistan on December 12, 1986. Sparks flew and they decided to get married. This was good news, as this was also their wedding day. Imrana packed her things and left the warm desert climate of Pakistan, to the maple dessert of Canada. Shortly after, Mahmood got a job in Michigan working for General Motors. They had their first perfect child in 1989, and then had Sakib a year later. They enjoy watching crime shows, taking walks, and ordering from the same Mediterranean restaurant for 25 years. In 2021, they met Tiffany. Sparks flew and they liked her. This was good news too, as this was also Tiffany and Sakib's wedding day.

Alicia Lantz

Sister of the Bride

Alicia was born and raised in Southern California. She met Tiffany when she was still in diapers, and Tiffany was changing those diapers. She is a recent graduate of George Washington University. Since her degree is in political science, Tiffany and Sakib are expecting her to become a full-time unemployed roommate in the near future.

Sarah Akhtar

Sister of the Groom

Sarah is a doctor.

Rachel Jiang

Sister of the Bride

Rachel is the oldest of all the siblings and cousins in our generation. When she met Tiffany, it meant she stopped being the only child / grandchild / niece / baby. She didn't take this very well. Eventually Rachel warmed up to having a sister. As children, she would wake Tiffany up in the middle of the night to make her ramen or eggs because she didn't know how. Rachel is a mother now, to a beautiful baby boy. We hope she has since learned how to make both ramen and eggs.

Nihan Akhtar

Sister of the Groom

Nihan is a teeth doctor.
