Wedding Party

Meet our family that will be walking down the aisle with us.

Patricia Bagnera

Maid of Honor

From the moment I met Patricia, I knew we would be best friends. She is kind, funny, and best of all just like me, an aficionado of margaritas. Anyone who has the pleasure of getting to know Patricia will know the selfless person she is. In the past couple of years, we have shared tons of amazing memories together. The best memory was the one night at Howling Wolf in Salem MA. This was where we shared personal and vulnerable experiences that had us both in tears. I am blessed and honored she accepted the role as my maid of honor.

Vinh Nguyen

Best Man

Growing up our relationship was very distant. I didn't want my brother tagging along like my shadow. As we got older, we were the only constant thing we had. I knew I can count on him and he knew even though I would complain and lecture him, that I would always be there for him. He is a great father and becoming the man we all knew he could be. I'm lucky to have a brother like him and blessed to have him as my best man.

James Melton

Groomsman

Loyalty is the perfect characteristic to describe James. James and I have been friends since we were 12 years old. Individually, we changed so much as we got older but our friendship has never changed, it strengthened. We went from lying to our parents and running around the streets of East Boston late at night to now heading to Colombia for my wedding. We've experienced so much together and I'm now excited for James to join me in this new chapter of my life.

Katie Belleville

Bridesmaid

The one good thing that came out of working at Lowell General was meeting Katie. Katie is one of the sweetest souls anyone will ever meet. I can say I've had the most fun partying with this young lady than any other person. We have countless stories about barhopping after our shift followed by late-night McDonald's parking lot adventures to passing out together on my couch. Coincidentally we both start our new exciting chapter in our lives of being Mrs. Roberts and Mrs. Messina this July. I'm very happy to have Katie be part of my wedding party as she was and is very pivotal in my life. Her love and support helped me through a lot. I love you Katie

Douglas Teixeira

Groomsman

Doug and I met at Brazilian Top Team in Boston. We use to spend many hours a week training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our love for the sport and competition essentially initiated our friendship. We would travel very early in the morning and far away in hopes to get better at the sport so we could earn our black belts one day. Due to life's challenges, it forced Douglas to put jiu-jitsu to the side and focus on his future. Over the last decade, we have been in each other's corners. I'm honored and privileged that he will continue to be in my corner at my wedding. He also has no choice because I'm the black belt!

Arianna Hernandez

Bridesmaid

Arianna, you're not only family but one amazing friend. Watching you grow up into such a smart and independent woman is been incredible. About four years ago we were celebrating your sweet 15 in Colombia, now you get to be by my side on one of the most special days of my life. You are the sister I always wanted and I appreciate the positive impact you are on Jaxon. I couldn't have a wedding without my favorite girl.

Steve Bagnera

Groomsman

It's not about how long you know someone but the quality of the friendship you have with that person. This statement describes our relationship. Steve's rough exterior is a front to who he is. The guy is an absolute teddy bear. I've known Steve for about 5 years. Like Doug, we met at Brazilian Top Team Boston, where he thought he was going to go in and steamroll everyone. The joke was on him. During the height of the pandemic when the world was shut down and everyone was afraid to interact with one another, Steve constantly messaged and called me to see how I was doing. We were neighbors in the mean streets of Lynn and now we are neighbors in the HOOD of North Reading. I am very happy to have him and his wife be part of our wedding. Friends like them are very hard to find and we are blessed to have them.

Victor Atehortua

Officiant

Growing up in East Boston, Lam and Vinh were left unsupervised while their dad worked long hours. They were very fortunate to find the Paris Street pool. At this pool, they and their friends had a safe place where they could have fun for hours a day. Victor often looked out for Lam, Vinh, and their friends. When the pool closed, Victor would take the entire group for pizza as a way to talk and mentor them on making the right choices as they grew up to help them become what they wanted when they grew up. Lam and Victor became closer when Lam and Victor's younger brother Camilo enlisted in to the Marines together. Lam, Victor, and Camilo would hang out all the time leading up to them going to Marine Corps training at Parris Island South Carolina. Lam and Victor stayed in contact throughout the years. Lam has always talked about how lucky he was to have a big brother like Victor to look out for him while growing up. We are very honored that he will be officiating our wedding and I can't wait to meet Victor, Kim, and the girls.
