Maid of Honor
Alex and I have been best friends since we were 18 years old. As we walked the hallways of high school, we had heard of one another but had never officially met. We met in the summer after high school through our bestie, Noelle Perna. We both agreed that if we had met in high school, we might not have liked one another. I was the "bubble gum pop princess" prep and Alex was the "edgy cool laidback" goth punk. I probably would have annoyed her, and she probably would have scared me (lol). I will be honest about it, I was a little nervous to meet Alex. She was unlike any friend I had ever had before. We were wildly opposite. Yet, when we met, we instantly clicked and were surprisingly more similar than I had previously thought. Alex was cool and chill. She had the best laugh and was outlandishly funny. She had me cracking up in the first five minutes of meeting her. I think she looked at me and thought, what a preppy dork, but by the end of that night, I had won her over as my one of my best friends. Alex, you have been my ride-or-die since day one. I love you for so many reasons. If I could list the number of reasons, the list would go on and on. It is not every day that you meet a soulmate in a friend. I am happy and proud to say that you are one of mine. Thank you for wanting to be a part of my big day. P.S. Please remember that my Nonni will be in the room when you give your speech ;)
Maid of Honor
Noelle Perna and I have been best friends since we were 12 years old. From our awkward tween years at Hanes Middle School to our angsty teenage years at Saint Charles North High School to our "the world is our oyster" years at ECC, we have been through it and seen it all together. Some of my favorite memories are of our late-night M&M (Masks and Margaritas) hangouts, binging The Tudors, Gossip Girl, and The Bachelor to our wild weekends at Drink, America's Bar, Coach House, and the Red Room. Even our Pretty Pretty Princess sleepovers, Zero Gravity debacles, and African Dancing- Don't Touch My Hair pre-gamming nights. Not to mention all of our crazy vacations from the Black Hills of South Dakota to Fort Myers Beach in Florida and all the way to Vera Cruz, Mexico. The number of memories and inside jokes are numerous. I truly could not imagine my life without you in it, Noelley. You have been with me every step of the way- through all of the heartbreaks and anxiety-ridden trials, to all of the birthdays, graduations, and life-changing events, you are my never-failing constant and beautiful best friend. I pray that we grow old together, sitting on the porch, yelling at all of the young whipper snappers going by- all while Joey is gardening or yelling at us for yelling at the young kids in the neighborhood (lol). I love you Noelley! Thank you for being my loyal, loving, and longest-lasting best friend- and for wanting to be a part of mine and Joey's special day.
Sister-In-Law and Bridesmaid
Dez and I met at the Edison Mall back in 2014. She was sitting at a table in the food court with her friend. My brother (Brandon) and I were waiting for our Mom to get done shopping, per usual (lol). When we would get bored waiting, Bran and I always had this funny thing that we would do. We would find people that we thought matched one another and we would give those people each other's cell phone numbers. It started with pranking one another- trying to embarrass each other. Yet, it turned into something more the day that I saw Dezzy sitting there. I remember looking at Bran and gesturing toward Dez. He looked at her and said, "yeah, she's cute." So, I wrote Bran's phone number on a food court napkin, walked over to Dez, and gave her the napkin. The rest was history. Dezzy texted him that night and they have now been married for a little over a year. Dez even kept the napkin and framed it. She had it displayed at their wedding. It was thoughtful and cute. That is what you are though, Dez. You are thoughtful and cute. You care deeply about others, and you are always there if anybody needs you. You know loyalty and kindness. Those are just a few of the many qualities that I love about you. I am grateful to have gained a sister in you. I am so excited for you to be a part of mine and Joey's big day. Thank you so much for all of your support and love. I love you, Dez!
Bridesmaid
Hannah and I met back in 2019 at Healthpark Medical Center. She was a nurse in the Cardiac Observation Unit while I was a specialist in the Cath Lab. I will NEVER forget the moment I knew that Hannah and I were destined to be best friends. I was helping out in COU while Hannah was discharging patients. By the end of the shift, we were both over-tired and hyped up on caffeine. We were about to restock the unit when we went back to the stockroom to grab supplies. As we were back there, in a matter of about five seconds, Hannah had coughed, sneezed, and blew a boogey out of her nose. We both just looked at each other and lost it, cracking up for about five minutes. From that moment on, we have never looked back. Hannah, you are one of the funniest and smartest people I know. I know that every time I get together with you, I will be hollering one minute or crying the next. Whether it be that we start "acting a fool" together or have our deep conversations about our Heavenly Father, I know that I can always go to you and you will always be there for me. You are the reason I found Yeshua again and I am ever grateful to our Heavenly Father for working through you to call to me. You are one of my best friends and I am beyond grateful to have you in my life as a beautiful example of the wonderful Mother you are, the incredible Nurse you are, and the overall amazing human being that you are. I love you, Hanners. Thank you for wanting to be a part of mine and Joey's big day!
Bridesmaid
Reva and I met back in November of 2021 when she hired me at Charlotte Heart and Vascular Institute as a specialist in her cath lab. We instantly hit it off, having deep conversations about life, love, and the job. We related to one another on multiple levels and just after a week, we were laughing with inside jokes already in our back pockets. Reva and I have been through quite a bit together- whether it be scaring each other when we come out of the bathroom, falling out of our chairs due to SOMEONE'S lack of listening and following directions (I'll admit it, it was me lol), going through scenarios of saving patient's lives, all of the trips to Disney, our outings to festivals and concerts, and all of the many text messages, voice messages, and phone calls about school, work, life, and future plans. Reva has been one of the best bosses I have had the pleasure of working with, but also one of my greatest friends. Reevs, I know I can always go to you with any situation or scenario in life. You will always give me the most caring and considerate advice because you are a natural nurturer. That attribute is one of many that I love about you. Thank you for being an awesome boss as well as a best friend. I am so excited for you to be standing by me on mine and Joey's big day!
Bridesmaid
Emily and I met just last year in October of 2023. We met in our women's Masterpiece group at our church (Ocean). The first night Em came to the group she sat at my table, and we hit it off immediately. We were both from Illinois, believers in Jesus, and seeking Godly friendships. God answered my prayers by allowing us to meet. I know this because our friendship was unexpected, but it has made all the difference in the world for me. Every time I need prayer, I am unsure and doubting myself, or simply just needing support from a friend, Emily is always ready to lift me up with prayer. The number of times I have looked down at my phone and read a beautiful prayer from Em or watched a sermon she sent me is countless. Em, I know God allowed us to meet at the perfect time, in His perfect plan for us. I am beyond grateful for your friendship. It came at a time when I needed it the most and He knew that. You truly have been a God-sent. I adore you and your gentle, sweet, nurturing, and kind nature. You are truly what I believe a Proverbs 31 woman to be. Thank you for allowing me to witness what it means to be a Godly woman by your actions and your heart made anew in Him. I can't wait to see what God has in store for our friendship. Hopefully a lot more concerts, youth group nights, Sunday luncheons, and game nights ;) I love you, Em. Thank you for being my sister in Christ and for wanting to be a part of mine and Joey's big day.
Best Man
Eugene, without plumbers in this world, everything would go to crap, and without electricians there wouldn't be light. You've helped so much with my career at BIM and also helped grow my Christian faith. I can go to you with a lot of stupid questions and after the 10 seconds of "haha really you don't know that?" I can get a sound answer. You've always been available to help and are the best camping buddy a guy could ask for.
Groomsman
Anakin, I've watched you grow from a baby to a man. I know life is full of challenges and it can be a challenge to challenge those challenges. I want you to know I'm here to support you as you are here to support me on my special day. I love you and love having you around, just pick up the phone lol!
Groomsman
My near future brother-in-law, I'm happy to have met and known you and my soon-to-be wife. You have the attitude of a goblin and the heart of a saint. Also, the mannerisms of a goblin. You might just be a goblin. I'll have to figure that out as we spend more time together as a family.
Groomsman
Bim Boss, I remember one of the first things you ranted about. You were ranting about all of the handicap issues that B&I has, but only because you were in crutches at the time. It was hilarious. You have helped me grow in the BIM field and allowed me an opportunity that many do not have- to grow and to have freedom of growth. I will always be grateful for the work trips and the hard conversations on why everything is crap and needs DATA to be fixed. Thank you for being an inspirational leader and for always being an even better friend.
Groomsman
Neackgh, you've helped so much with my growth in faith. You have a clear and interesting look at life and are the epitome of a relaxed individual. We've only known each other for a short period of time but I'm grateful to call you a friend.
Groomsman
Curtis, you have helped so much in my growth as not only a man, but a man of Christ. Your encouragement and cheerful demeanor along with the guidance you have given has skyrocketed my relationship with God and with Tiffany. Thank you for always being there.
