It was the Raleigh Bluegrass Festival. Through shared friendships, they met each other before a whimsical night of dancing and delight. They were both the goofy charmers that kept each other laughing and smiling. There were sparks instantly; enough to exchange their first kiss to the magical melodies of banjoes and fiddles.
Downtown Raleigh is where we met and started our lives together. We lived just blocks away from Market Hall and walked here all the time. Our favorite breakfast spot is across the street, Big Ed's. You can see our favorite date night spot across the park, Bida Manda. We are surrounded by our favorite breweries, museums, and restaurants. Raleigh is an amazing city with a lot of local character. All of our wedding food has been sourced locally, along with one of our favorite local breweries. We love supporting our local Raleigh community and are so excited to share it with you.
214 E. Martin St. Raleigh, NC 27513 Market Hall is the cornerstone of City Market, a historic marketplace covering two city blocks in the heart of the Moore Square District in Downtown Raleigh. In 1914 Market Hall hosted the Raleigh's first Farmers' Market. Moore Square was a gathering place for picnics and visiting with family and friends to enjoy the local fare. During this time the market also featured the state's first refrigeration system, a modern marvel that changed the food industry forever.
