Do I need a rental car?

Up to you! It is definitely not necessary to explore Santa Monica / Venice or get to any of the wedding events, and there will be plenty to do in these areas via Uber/Lyft & bike. However, if you want to explore Malibu or other parts of LA, we would recommend renting a car.
