The two bonded over glitter beer and standup comedy at a mutual friend’s birthday party at Evil Genius Beer Company in late 2019. They quickly realized that they not only shared an alumnus, but that Tiffany had been a frequent partygoer at Ian’s off-campus Rutgers house during the later years of college. However much to Ian’s dismay, she lived in Hoboken and only visited her Philly friends a couple of times a year (which he found out by sliding into her DM’s the next day). With loose plans to connect the next time she was in Philly, the two stayed in touch. Texts throughout the day turned to long phone calls, one of which resulted into Ian offering to come up to Hoboken where they got burgers at Onieal's and sang (screamed?) emo tunes at a karaoke party later that evening. Upon realizing that there was an Eagles bar in Hoboken (shout out to Mulligans!), Ian decided that the New York area wasn’t as bad as he thought, and the two became an item. After a few months racking up Amtrak points between Hoboken and Philly, Tiffany and Ian were preparing for a snowboarding trip in Lake Tahoe, which was put on hold due to a little event known as the global pandemic. Tiffany came down to Philly with a suitcase full of ski clothes in early March 2020 and has been there ever since (thankfully, with more seasonally appropriate clothing). Ian welcomed Tiffany into his South Philly home and graciously let her redecorate, though his action figures and Philadelphia pennant collection remain off-limits. He’s currently on a mission to curb her cup hoarding tendencies (which, judging by the assortment of water bottles, coffee cups and wine glasses on her nightstand, isn’t going very well). She adores him and the way he takes care of her and their 90-pound lap dog, Lucy, and couldn’t be more excited to be his wife.
