cheers to a lifetime!

We met in a music history class four years ago. The first assignment of the class was to write a paper on someone else's musical background. We had the option of picking our own partners, so immediately Evan leaned across a couple rows of desks to ask me to be partners. I graduated and moved to Colorado, causing some distance in the friendship. The pandemic brought me back home to Minnesota where we reconnected in the Boundary Waters. We've made countless memories since!

We were camping on the North Shore near Silver Bay, Minnesota. While the stars were still out in the early hours of the morning, we hiked to Tettegouche State Park to wait for the sun to rise over Lake Superior. As the sky lightened, Evan sang a little tune and got down on his knee (which happened to be off the edge of the cliff we were sitting on). Of course I said yes!

After the wedding, we are traveling to Hawaii for our honeymoon. When we get back, we are planning a road trip around the United States in our converted van. Once international travel restrictions are lifted, we plan to serve with the Peace Corps or do mission work overseas. We can't wait to see more of the world together!
