We met on Christmas day in December of 2016, at the home of a mutual friend, who was hosting friends who didn't have immediate family in Los Angeles for the Holidays. It was not a moment of love at first sight or instant chemistry for us. However, early in the spring of 2017, we started to see each other at Afrolituation & Amplify Africa Parties. We would exchange pleasantries and go about our way. It wasn't until June 23rd, at a Melrose bar, during an Umu Igbo Unite Networking event that we would exchange phone numbers. I approached Tiffany and her friends and she made a comment about my outfit and since she was in the fashion Industry I suggested that she should help me with my wardrobe. This was my excuse to get her number. An encounter about my wardrobe turned into platonic brunches & lunches, grocery shopping together, trips to Home Depot and stay-ins watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S on Netflix. Here we are three years later and my wardrobe still hasn't changed much but I am so grateful to have met Tiffany, my best friend and the love of my life.
