So glad you asked! It would be so fun if you could wear cocktail attire in anything colorful . No ties required. No restrictions on color, any will do. What is cocktail hour attire? It's a step below formal, so dresses (any length/pattern) or jumpsuits. Suits or blazer and slacks (no jeans please). A tie isn't required but if you're feeling, go right ahead. Here's another description of the dress code but you can also Google "cocktail hour attire" and lots of great examples show up as well: https://www.brides.com/story/wedding-dress-code-explained
We'd recommend as soon as you can. Marquette and the Upper Peninsula in general have limited flights and limited rental car availability. There are a few airport choices, all within a 2 hour or less distance.
You can contact Brian or Tiffany with questions before the day events.
You can contact Joanne, the wedding coordinator. Her information is phone: 906- 249-9217 email: twoservewlove@aol.com
Sure is! Care.com is an option and there are many great options. If you're interested in child care for the day of or during reception, reach out early to the sitters to build up communication and see if you're a match. If you arrive early from the event you could even see about making a first face to face meet and greet prior to the day of use. https://www.care.com/ Zip code to search: 49855
There are pet sitters in Marquette that will come to where ever you're staying and take them for a walk, take them potty or whatever your instructions might be. https://www.sittercity.com/pet-sitting/mi/marquette https://www.care.com/ https://www.rover.com/ Zip code to search: 49855
That can be a tricky question to answer - as any Michigander knows. In general, late August still offers warm - hot, humid days with lower chances of rain (although you can never rule this out). The sun sets late in the evening so dusk is still around 9p. The nights can be mild or cool, so you may need a sweatshirt. While we hope for fabulous weather we'd always suggest to check www.weather.com just prior to your packing - with also referencing my added packing tips below. Worst case scenario: there is Target, T.J. Maxx, Kohl's, Meijer and Walmart Superstore less than a 10 minute car ride away.
Marquette is the largest city in the Upper Peninsula but it's still country and wilderness. Best practice packing tips: 1. First aid kit - we'll be hiking and biking so for small scraps and bumps, it's best to have band-aids, disinfectant spray, Ace bandage wraps, ice pack gel packs 2. Tick tweezers - you can get this from amazon or the pet store. https://www.amazon.com/HomeSake-Remover-Removal-Twister-Tweezers/dp/B071FJHC3D/ref=sr_1_5?crid=32ORRFBO7YX1&keywords=tick%2Btweezers%2Bfor%2Bdogs&qid=1703887512&sprefix=tick%2Btweezers%2Bfor%2Caps%2C112&sr=8-5&th=1 3. Hiking or walking shoes - something to give your foot stability. We'll be walking on boulders and rocks sometimes 4. Your own bike and helmet - but if you don't have one or don't want to travel with it there will be a lot of bike rental possibilities in Marquette 5. Bug spray and sunscreen - because nature

Yes, there are plenty to choose from. Big Box: Target, T.J. Maxx, Kohl's, Meijer and Walmart about a 10 minute drive from the center of town. If you're in the center of town needing some basics or grocery shopping by foot, then you can hit up any local place like: The Marquette Food Co-op, Krist gas station, Evergreen Market, Lakeshore Depot, Tadych's Marketplace Food
