It all started in our World History class back in April of 2014. I was running late that day (classic me), and the only open seat left was next to him. He had his bookbag sprawled across the desk like he owned the place—which, honestly, I respected. I probably would’ve done the same. As fate would have it, that day was one of the rare times our teacher made us do group activities. We ended up in the same group, and somewhere between pretending to care about the assignment and chatting, I showed him a game I’d just downloaded on my phone. He “played” it—but sneakily slipped his phone number in instead. Fast forward to December, and I got a random text that said, “Hey beautiful.” I was convinced it was a scam, so I decided to play along for fun. Turns out, it wasn’t a scam... it was the beginning of something real. From a late arrival and a bold bookbag move to a surprise text and years of laughter—we’ve come a long way. And now, here we are, getting ready to say “I do.”
