Take the Ferry from Vallejo (20 minutes from Fairfield) to San Francisco. The Ferry terminal has a cute coffee shop, the Ferry serves drinks and snacks, and the ride to the City showcases nearly ever corner of the Bay- Richmond, Oakland/Berkeley, and finally the City! It's a great way to see the Bay and visit the City. Ferry takes you to Downtown SF. From there you can explore SF, or catch another Ferry to many other locations in the Bay.
Golden Gate Park is amazing. It's beautiful to explore on foot, eat good food, attend events, visit museums, and experience historic sites like the Japanese Tea Garden.
