Back in 2020, we met on a dating app. We talked over the app, long paragraphs every day, and eventually moved on to talking on Discord. It was during Covid-19 and everyone was staying home, not wanting to go out and maybe catch the virus. So we dated online for a few months, watching anime and movies together through a screen sharing site and commenting to scenes. When I first saw him during our first in-person date, I was so excited that I automatically hugged him and grabbed his hand. It was a lovely cliche date of going to see a movie and eat dinner. I even facetimed my mum to show her I wasn't kidnapped, but I knew she just wanted to meet the guy that made me smile. It's been roughly 6 years since then and I couldn't be happier. I met the guy who could make me smile, laugh, and want to be better. We've had our highs and lows, but we worked through it all and it made us stronger together and now we're about to take the next step into our future.
