(In Tiff's P.O.V.) Once upon a time in 2017... I was 2 hours late to our first date at Artechouse in D.C.! If anyone's familiar with the D.C. Metro, it wasn't my fault I was tardy. James already bought the tickets and rode the metro into D.C., so he patiently waited in 100 degree weather. Yes, he was shining like Edward from Twilight when I saw him. Don't worry I got him coffee as an apology! As I eventually learned later, this man loves his bean juice. After our date, we got pizza with double pineapple (of course) and chatted away for hours and lost track of time! A timeline of our lives to get to know us better: Rest of 2017: James started going to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences as an officer in the Navy while I was working on my Associates degree from Montgomery College. 2018: Many dates, which included hiking, going to the zoo, and eating tons of good food in D.C.! 2019: Finished my Associates and starting working on my Bachelors at the University of Maryland. This was also the start of James’ rotations across the U.S, and with that, the start of us being long-distance. 2020: Due to COVID, James’ rotations were put to a sudden halt and ended up living with my mom and I for the next year! 2021: We both graduated and moved to VA Beach for James’ urology residency at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital! I also got a job working there as a hospital lab assistant. This is also the year we adopted Liam! 2022: We both just worked (workaholics much?) and enjoyed living life. This is also the year we thought Liam would want a friend, so we adopted Riley. And no, they are not friends. 2023: I got into the Pathologists’ Assistant program at Eastern Virginia Medical School. James proposed! 2024-25: I spent the whole year on rotations, so we were long-distance again.... October 2024: SURPRISE WE ELOPED! 2025: What a big year! I graduate this August, start a job in September, and now we get to celebrate our marriage (1 year anniversary) with you all! Time to partyyyyyyy!
