Tiffany and Andy’s story began in the most stereotypically Asian way - in SAT class during the summer of 2007. Tiffany sat in the back of the classroom (like the gangster she is), behind Andy and flirtatiously blew on his neck because she thought he was cute. Fast forward 2 years later to their freshmen year at UC Santa Cruz, where they reunited. After both joining APhiO, they began spending more time together - from Andy setting an obnoxiously loud alarm that could wake the entire building (except him) just to make it to an early breakfast with Tiffany in the dining hall, to hanging out in Andy’s dorm, where Tiffany would jump out of Andy’s closet to scare the pants off him. Their friendship quickly turned into something deeper, though neither of them ever admitted their feelings. When Tiffany shared she would be transferring to UC Davis, Andy was heartbroken. Despite the distance, they kept in touch regularly, continuing their tradition of attending Giants games together each season and admiring Christmas lights together during the holidays. After a decade of friendship, on June 29, 2018, Andy finally gathered the courage to ask Tiffany to be more than friends. But Tiffany turned him down. Devastated, Andy tried to move on, yet time and again, they found their way back to each other. Thanks to Andy’s unwavering persistence, exactly 6 years later, on June 29, 2024, Andy proposed to Tiffany - and this time, he finally got the “Yes!” he had been waiting for.
