Travis and Tiffany met on the dating apps, Bumble AND Hinge in Austin, Texas in 2019. It was an elusive and ever dangerous double match! In their early conversations, they bonded over their experience as transplants to the Austin area (Travis from Nebraska and Tiffany originally from Arizona) and both having lived in Southern California for a period of time. While chatting online, Tiffany expressed that she liked margaritas and exploring new Tex-Mex restaurants in Austin. Travis caught wind of a new restaurant, called Oseyo in East Austin that he thought offered Tex-Mex fare. While Tiffany is no stranger to research, she knew it was actually a Korean restaurant but was excited to give this date the green light. The food was amazing and they had the best time despite the lack of margaritas. Travis and Tiffany have been together for over 3 years since then and find joy in spending time with each other no matter the restaurant or activity. Their easy-going nature and similar interests leave no time for dull moments. Travis and Tiffany have shared so many incredible memories over the years! Some of their highlights include their mutual love of travel and spending time outdoors. During the pandemic they discovered a shared passion for new hobbies such as, paddle boarding through Horseshoe Bend, hiking in Sedona, four-wheeling and battling it out on the tennis courts! A big highlight was their trip to Peru where they hiked the Salkantay trail for 7 days to Machu Picchu. Travis and Tiffany are never shy to new adventures and cannot wait to embark on their forever adventure together!

The proposal unfolded on Tiffany and Travis’s 7 day hiking adventure in Peru in May of 2021. On this trip Travis met Tiffany’s best friend, Julia from New York, for the first time in person after a few initial introductions via Zoom. After secretly getting her best friend’s blessing to ask Tiffany to marry him, he decided to pick the most beautiful spot that they visited in Peru to propose. On day 2 of their trek, overlooking Humantay Lake at 13,780 feet of elevation, Travis knew the moment was too good to pass up!! He got down on one knee with the most stunning view! Before he could even say a word, Tiffany blurted out “Yes, OMG, Yes!” Tiffany was SO surprised and shed tears of joy - you can see her reaction in the picture below!
