How we met

09.01.2019

To make a long story short, Chris and I lived in the same town for years and one day we decided to met each other and go on a date! Multiple cancelations later on both ends (due to work conflicts) we finally did!

Our First Dates

09.17.2019

One Tuesday, we were both able to met up go driving up the Cherohala Skyway for our first date! We talked endlessly as if we had known each other our entire lives. We got out at Indian Boundary Campground and Chris was amazed. He had lived in Sweetwater for six years and had never been there before. Which made me realize how much I took it for granted. NOW onto our second date story... A few days later, that Friday, we met up in Sweetwater to go to Chili's Restaurant in Lenoir City, TN. We get there and sit down to eat, and Chris says, "I am not that hungry, do you want to split a sampler?" I said, "Sure", because who wants to eat an entire meal in front of a person you barely know anyway. haha.... Little did I know that I was going to get one slider, instead of "splitting" the meal. All because Chris did not want to pay for two meals.... If you know Chris, you know he is a tight wad, which I love about him. haha. So, after a few months of casual dating and a lot of "split" meals later, we became inseparable and spent almost every day together. (minus during hunting season).

The Proposal

05.13.2021

Due to COVID by November of 2020, we were both LONG over due for a vacation. So, we started booking a trip to Alaska, YES ALASKA, for May of 2021. What felt like an eternity later, we finally arrived in AK on May 8th, 2021. and stayed in the Kenia Peninsula until Thursday May 13th, 2021. We packed up and drove to Seward, AK (which is amazing) and stopped to do Exit Glacier that evening, on our way to Girdwood, AK. When we finally reached the top of the glacier, Chris asked some other hikers to take our photo. When I turned around to face the camera, there Chris was on one knee. I was in absolute shock. After I was able to grasp what was going on, all I could say was, "YES! A MILLION TIMES, YES!! EKK! And now we are getting MARRIED! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Franklin!
