Our story started long before either one of us had realized it. Back when we were kids we had both attended the same middle school and would hang out with in the same social circle. After graduation, we both ended up attending different schools and didn't meet again until a few years later. During our college years, we reconnected through mutual friends and began to see each other every week at social gatherings. It wasn't long after that we both found ourselves going on adventures, exploring the city, having movie nights, etc. just the two of us. Our relationship developed over time as we became more entwined in each other's lives and grew into the love we share today. Finally, on August 16, 2015, we went on our first "official date" to a Mexican restaurant at the Prune Yard followed by a few spirited games of laser-tag. Things haven't changed too much since back then as we still love Mexican food and Cole is always ready for a game of laser tag.
One of our favorite trips we had taken together was to the city of New Orleans for Tiffany's birthday. The city was so full of energy, culture, and romance, I knew by the end of our stay that this is the place I would propose to her. Fast forward 10 months and we were back on an airplane getting ready to celebrate our 4 year anniversary in New Orleans. Prior to this, I had spent months researching, coordinating, and planning where (and when) I was going to propose. During our stay, I had convinced her that I wanted to go explore City Park (think Central Park in NY) and take photos. As we strolled through the park, snapping photos and taking selfies along the way, we finally arrived at an old cobblestone bridge. As we walked across, I stopped halfway and put my arms around her. I started reminiscing about the past 4 years, how far we have come and told her how she means everything to me. And without skipping a beat I got down on one knee, pulled out the ring, and she said "YES!". The best part was that I got the moment captured. She was so caught up in the moment that she didn't even notice the photographer in the distance who had been snapping photos of us the entire time! We are both so excited to start the next chapter in our lives and look forward to celebrating it with you. Hope to see you in August!
