To allow our vendors the time needed to prepare, we are requesting that you RSVP by Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Are plus one and children allowed?

Answer

We respectfully ask that guests attend as addressed on their invitations. If a plus one is included, it will be noted there. We love kiddos and can’t wait to have our own someday, but on our wedding day, we’re keeping the little crowd small. We kindly ask that you use this as a date night and that only our nieces and nephews, children of those in our wedding party, and those who have a specific role on our day attend. Thank you for being so understanding — it truly means the world to us.

When should guests arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive and find a seat at least 10-15 minutes early for our 5:00 pm ceremony.

What is the dress code?

Answer

We kindly request dressy casual/semi-formal attire. Think dressy dress, jumpsuit, button-down, polo, sports coat, a blazer paired with dress pants, or a full suit. Finish off your outfit with matching loafers, pumps, or flats (make sure they’re comfortable for dancing). Please avoid jeans/shorts and overly casual clothing.

Will the ceremony be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

If the weather’s good to us, we’ll be saying “I do” outdoors on a grassy, slightly uneven spot, so comfy shoes are a good idea. Cocktail hour will follow outside while we slip away for photos. Enjoy some charcuterie-style bites and a few lawn games while you mingle, then join us inside for the reception to eat, celebrate, and dance the night away.

Is it okay to post wedding photos on social media?

Answer

For the ceremony, we’ll be keeping things unplugged so our photographer can capture all the sweet, once-in-a-lifetime moments without distractions. We’ll happily share those photos once they’re ready. Once the reception begins, feel free to take and share your own pictures. We ask that no one post a photo of the bride until she’s shared one herself, and please give our photographers space to work their magic.

Venue Considerations?

The Pines is located just two miles off the I-64 Sam Black Church exit in Crawley, WV. We recommend pulling up directions before arriving since cell service can be spotty in this part of the mountains. Restrooms are located inside the reception building and are easily accessible to all guests.
