We're getting married!

We met via online dating, like most people do these days. :) We had a quick video chat a week prior, but for our first date/meeting, Ben suggested we grab sushi and meet at a nearby park to be COVID safe. I let him know right away how into Taylor Swift I was and that she just come out with "Folklore." When our second date got rained out and forced us back to his house with carry out, he asked Google to play the new Taylor Swift album to set the mood. I should've known then, but it only took a few more dates to realize that this was something special.

We were in Denver on vacation, and I had seen the ring box in Ben's pocket two days before, so I was anxiously awaiting the question. We ended up going to Denver Botanical Gardens, where there were several places I was trying to help queue up as "the spot" (I have no chill). Eventually, we made our way down to a private bench by a koi pond, where he got down on one knee to take a video of the fish (sigh), before turning to me and asking me to marry him. Luckily, a nearby visitor saw and offered to take pictures to capture the moment, and we then called our families to tell them and celebrated over a nice dinner and drinks! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you!
