Englewood / Alpine Boat Basin

Best local hiking, right on the Hudson River. Pack a picnic and walk underneath the George Washington Bridge! Or, simply sit and watch the waves. Fun Fact: This is where Mayer and Ninette Stiskin became engaged 67 years ago <3 Note: The entrance to the Englewood location is currently closed. But you can enter through the Alpine entrance, just off of 9W.

Tenafly Nature Center

Take a long or short walk around this beautiful nature preserve. Be sure to visit the rescued owls; they're a hoot ;) $2 Admission fee

Davis Johnson Park & Gardens

Lots of hidden places here to discover. The rose garden blooms late into the fall!

Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum

This museum/gallery is a true hidden gem! Admission is free.

If you're staying at the Teaneck Marriott, note that there is a nature preserve just outside! Spot the herons, ducks and frogs that live amongst the marshlands.
