We both decided that adding our twist on an elopement was the best fit for our free-spirited vibe. Our priority for the start to our marriage was focusing on celebrating each other, and the best way to do that was by having a laid-back, loosely-scheduled, stress-free day. Tifanee’s father, Victor, officiated and we were blessed to have our parents witness our marriage at the courthouse in Hattiesburg. While the day of our wedding was intimate, we are beyond grateful for all of our extended loved ones, both friends and family, who have shown us love. We look forward to continuing to celebrate our love, and the love in your lives, with all of you every day.

We truly had a gem of a photographer! Savannah of Novella Photography set out to truly capture our story and she succeeded! We are so grateful for the way she made us, and all of our guests, feel like retro royalty. We could not have found a more ideal photographer; it felt like being photographed by an old friend. Check out her work on Instagram! @capturedbynovella Our pictures from Grin Coffee Roastery were taken by Klay Richardson, a photographer who just so happened to be present during our “first looks” and was kind enough to offer to capture one of the sweetest moments of our lives. That impromptu photoshoot is a memory we will cherish forever. Check out her work on Instagram! @klaysphotos
If you know us, we are old souls with a penchant for all things vintage. We are lucky to live so close to the Lucky Rabbit, a one-of-a-kind vintage market that offers countless photo opportunities. We have visited Lucky more times than we can count, but one of the greatest visits was when Jay proposed in front of Lucky’s signature green Volkswagen. Incorporating this place into our wedding day was a must! We thought it was the perfect place to spend the first few minutes of the rest of our lives together.
Our first date was at a coffee shop in Starkville, Mississippi, and from that day we each knew that the other (and coffee) would be an important part of our lives. We have started nearly every day since the first coffee date having coffee together, and we wanted to make sure that our wedding day was no exception. We wanted to pick a coffee shop in town that would fit our vibe for the day. Hattiesburg has no shortage of good coffee, but Grin Coffee Roastery checked every box for us. The coffee is delicious, the people are kind, and the decor is fabulous. When we arrived at Grin that morning, we were greeted by some of the kindest people in Hattiesburg. They even surprised us and put on a Bendigo Fletcher playlist for us! We had the most special coffee date of our lives that morning, and we would not have changed it for the world.
